Samsung Galaxy S8: release date and rumours
Everything you need to know about the next best Samsung Galaxy.
Nothing’s ever perfect. While many of us love the Samsung Galaxy S7, there are a few extra things we’d like to see when the next generation launches.
With rumours of the Samsung Galaxy S8 flying wildly around online, we have to say, we’re very intrigued. You’ve probably heard some SGS8 speculation and supposed features too.
If not, then you’re in the right place to find out. What do we know so far? Here are all the most likely rumours about Samsung’s next flagship smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date
Let’s start with the obvious question. It’s all very well and good speculating about the upcoming Galaxy S8, but when can you actually get your hands on it? The official SGS8 release date has yet to be confirmed but we do have an idea of when it may be. Samsung typically releases new phones toward the start of the year, and so it’s likely that the Galaxy S8 will be available from early 2017.
In recent years, we’ve seen the Samsung make major smartphone announcements just a day before the annual Mobile World Congress. This year, the event will be taking place on 27th February, which leads many people to believe that the announcement will be on 26th February.

Smartphones usually hit stores a couple of weeks after they’re announced, so mid-March might be a reasonable guess for the Samsung Galaxy S8 release date.
There’s just one tiny spanner in the works. Remember the whole Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco? Of course, you do! Well, Samsung supposedly had to delay the development of the SGS8 for a matter of weeks while they were dealing with their fiery products. Eek. That could mean we have to wait until April to get our mitts on the latest Galaxy.
